Started Pullets for Backyard Flock Owners
Thank you for your your support! This year we are happy to offer bantams, miniature, chickens and a selection of ducks.
Are you seeking new hens to add to your flock? Come visit us Spring of 2023!
At HAVEN Meadows Farm, we provide flock owners with a variety of started, ready-to-lay chickens and educational resources.
Most chickens start to lay around 4 ½ to 6 months of age, meaning chicks hatched in April won't lay until late-summer. By purchasing started laying hens (pullets) you avoid unintended roosters, shipping delays and chick-rearing problems, all while supporting a youth program in the process.
Birds range from 1.5 to 3 months of age. Brown, cream, blue-green, chocolate and white egg layers will be available. Many friendly breeds! It is our practice to vaccinate for Mareks and coccidiosis.
We have over 20 breeds and varieties for our 2023 season including backyard classics and uncommon ornamental breeds.
Open Coop Days

We are located 50 minutes north of the Twin Cities in Harris, MN, and about 20 minutes from North Branch and Cambridge. Please wear clothes and shoes that haven't been around your birds, for biosecurity purposes. You may be asked to wear booties.
For biosecurity purposes please wear clothing and shoes that have not been worn around other birds. Please bring a kennel or box to safely carry your new feathered friend's home.
We follow a biosecurity plan which includes footbaths and selling birds from a large display at the front of the barn to promote safety and streamline the purchase process. By attending one voluntarily assumes the risks related and releases HAVEN and participating parties from liability.
