Wellbar

Wellbars were developed in the 1940's as an autosexing breed using Welsummer males and Barred Rock females following the creation of the Cream Legbar.  While we've loved the darker brown and often speckled eggs produced by Welsummers, they were often rather flighty and asocial. Welbars are regarded as laying a darker egg and we have found them to be calmer in nature.
