Laying Hen.Mottled English Orpington

English Orpingtons are a large bird with a rounder appearance and quite fluffy feathers. I tend to call them Orb-ingtons. They take a long time to mature with our past hen, Penguin (pictured above with a Speckled Sussex) not beginning to lay till 8 months of age as they build their frame Laying Hen.They are larger then most of our other birds. As a mottled bird they will continue to gain more white feathers with every molt slowly changing appearance overtime. 
 
Our mottled English Orpingtons are mostly lavender and white in color with a few black and white ones.
