Mottled Houdan

Mottled Houdans are a breed hailing from France. They are mottled in appearance and tend to gain more and more white feathers as they molt and age. They have 5 toes and may gain darker spots on their legs  and feet as they age. They are a bit shorter legged and more round in appearance then Crevecours and hardier in mixed flock settings then their Polish cousins who they share a crest with. They lay white or very pale tinted eggs.
 
Our hen, Houdini has been quite the character and is among the first to greet me within the flock.
