Mottled Houdan

Mottled Houdans are a breed hailing from France. They are mottled in appearence and tend to gain more and more white feathers as they molt and age. They have 5 toes and may gain darker spots on their legs  and feet as they age. They are a bit shorter legged and more round in appearence then Crevecours and hardier in mixed flock settings then their crested Polish cousins while the family all shares a crest. They lay white or very pale tinted eggs.
 
They are a new breed for our 2025 season.
