Our large fowl Cochin assortment includes Gold Laced Cochins, Silver Laced Cochins and Partridge Cochins. As an assortment, we cannot guarantee who or what varieties you might be be able to pick from at a given time.
Cochins are gentle breeds that are favored for their brooding and mothering abilities. They are regarded as being good with kids and in mixed flocks. They are more havily feathered then the Brahmas with a rounder appearence.
Our first flock consisted of 6 including a bantam Cochin, named Blue, much like the hens he got along excellently with the younger flock the following year and served as a mediatior when conflicts arose. He would tidbit and present treats to his ladies and much to my confusion had a fondness for puddles.
